Another gorgeous day here today. And the holiday makers and tourists can go back now to their own cities and countries and leave our little bit of paradise to us lol. There were two cruise ships in yesterday and Down at Mount Maunganui it was bedlam, never seen it like that before. Ohh what i will do is upload some pictures of where I live to give you all a idea of what im talking about and give you all a geography lesson lol. We live on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand (New Zealand is a island and has a two islands, the North Island and the South Island). On the map we are in the Bay of Plenty and near the town that says Tauranga.

Mount Maunganui and the main beach and also looking back down towards Papamoa Beach where i live.

Thank you!!! Sigh! What a night that was ... think we all died and went to heaven at about 5.05 in this vid. M: quality is OK - sound fluctuates a bit. I tried to increase the resolution up to 720 from my end, but the vid keeps stalling at that stage, so easiest just to watch as you've uploaded - and they are MUCH appreciated! Also - I want to move to the east coast of the North Island! Here on the east coast of the South Island we have grey skies and drizzle - it's WAY better where you are!
ReplyDeleteSigh!! I agree. What a fab night.Got to agree with the vid quality but much apprecicated all the same.
ReplyDeletePapamoa beach is a beautiful part of the east coast. I was ther about 10 yrs ago i think im due a trip back.
Try Red Kawa's Videora program which is an Ipod free conversion program. I convert all my video using that site, and it seems to maintain its quality pretty good. Even if you don't have itunes, it still doesn't realise till after it has saved the file in the Red Kawa folder or where ever you tell it to save :)

I forgot to say.....Great Video! I miss them already!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki! I will try that site but also like to be able to put my watermark on the videos too so might have to look for a site that does that too.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe this, but my brand spanking new laptop has died already after only 10 days! And only bought that one to replace my other one thats had two motherboards go on it. LOL, maybe over worked with videos.
Mxx, can you tag it before converting it? I don't know much about watermarking video.
ReplyDeleteYikes, that is bad for a laptop to die so quickly, I hope it is under warranty!! Guess it overheated from a certain hot band, lol
Well took the 10 day old laptop back to the store and they said it is what they call a DOA (lol) - sure was Dead on Arrival. Anyway, got a brand new one again so that is really cool.
ReplyDeleteNicki, you talking about tagging as in FB tags? I find it best to upload them thru YT as FB takes forever and uploading them direct on the blog takes even longer, if at all!!! ??
Nope, by tags I mean watermarks, so put the watermark on it, then reduce the size, but maintain the sequencing/quality level by running it through the conversion program. I always convert before uploading to YT, it takes only a couple of mins to upload the biggest files that way, as I load all the files and convert while I sleep, or do something else, so I am not inconvenienced.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool they gave you a new laptop....I hope you don't blow the replacement, lol!
