First entry of tour...... FINALLY!!!!

Hi all!!! Yes we are alive!! LOL, my family thought we were MIA!! But finding some decent wireless has been really hard and we finally caved in and paid for the extortionate hotel wireless for 24 hours!!! But we are here, safe and well and loving Washington!!!! But first, from the start.........

Left New Zealand after saying goodbye to my boys and hubby who came to the local airport to see me off (lol, and teased me cos they knew I would be in tears) and flew out on this tiny wee plane (you could spread your arms and touch both sides of the plane) and landed in Auckland. Met Janina at airport and then the excitement really started.

(on Flight, lol, always good to know the Air Steward! He really spoilt us!!)

Long trip, a really loooooonnnnng trip, 32 hours non stop till we got to the airport at 2am Saturday morning in Washington and had only 3 hours sleep in the past 39 hours!!!

Washington!!! Wow, what a great city, love it!! We have spend the past two days seeing all the sites, a few pics below! What history this place has. Did all the highlights including Arlington Cemetery, White House, monuments etc but the highlight of Saturday was being stopped outside the White House as President Obama was coming out and with his convoy so saw him go past with all the secret service etc. Just too quick for me to get it all on video, got some of it but not all of it.

Today was a more relaxing day as its been raining so went to the Pentagon City Mall and Alexandria Old Town. Actually, today I don't think we took one photo at all!!!! Incredible as Janina took over 150 yesterday alone, and I of course had to try out the 70x zoom lens video camera (yeah, getting in practice for some asset shots in Hershey and New Jersey!!)

The counter has stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kind of sad in a way, now we need one counting down for the concerts!!!!

1 day and so many hours for the Hershey concert!!!!!!!!!!!! Meeting Karen in Philly on Wednesday morning, woohoo. Just had a great video chat with her!!!

Sue, the Kiwifruit Meringues survived!!!!!! Thank you! I'm meeting up with a long time Jovi friend tomorrow who lives here so will give her one as a gift!!!!
