Hershey concert!

We left Washington in the morning and got the Amtrak to Philadelphia where Karen (BEA, BJAngel) met us at the 30th Street Station. It was sooo good meeting up with her finally and felt like meeting a real old friend.

It was sooooo funny and I bet some passer by's had such a giggle watching four girls trying to lift up four very very heavy suitcases and fit them all in the back of a van, each having a opinion of how it should be done (of course, we are all female!). So funny. Anyway, finally got on the road and started heading to Hershey. The trip took about 2 hours but it flew by so fast with lots of chatter and laughs.

Booked into the hotel when we finally found it, we blame it on the Aussie accent on the GPS!!!! Then dolled up and got ready for the concert.

Well, what a education for us girls from downunder!!! TAILGATING that is something we must introduce in New Zealand for all concerts and rugby league and rugby games!! Sooo good! Everyone goes early and takes up TWO parking lots, and gets out the tables and chairs and food and drink and has a pre party.

We had such a fun time and it was soooo funny! We were for some reason a 'attraction' for lots of men that wanted a photo with the downunder girls. I can honestly tell you that I can't tell you how many pictures we had with all these men, it was hysterical and it happended all night. Even after the concert! And I can't work out well, or it could be because we were having alot of fun tailgating, having a margarita or two and the locals introducing us to Moonshine!! LOL, pineapple chunks in moonshine for that matter!! There goes our jelly snakes!!!!

Okay, now the concert, we were sooooo close. The only thing we felt was a bit hard was that the stage was pretty high and we got a real sore neck by the end of the night. Loved the intro, certainly teased the crowd. Got some great video and got the whole intro leading into Blood on Blood. Hopefully I will upload that below and then will upload other videos. And for the record, I got told off by a certain Mr Matt Bongiovi for videoing, but hey, got some great video. Can't really work out why, everyone else was but guess my 70x zoom digital lens might be a bit incriminating!! Got some great asset shots!!

The boys looked great, Jon of course looked great and the showman and knew how to get the crowd going. Richie is looking great, best he has in a long time, and David was looking mighty fine as well. Tico was a bit hidden for us as the stage was so high but got to zoom in on him a few times.

After the concert we went back into the car park and lol, the tailgating began again for another two hours as the traffic was soooo bad that some cars never moved for a hour, so whats the point of doing that, just have a moonshine!!

When we finally left the carpark we headed to the Hershey Hotel. What a beautiful hotel that was! But the mission was to have a famous Chocolate Martini!! Man oh man, that was soooo nice. Got some nice pics of that too, and at the bottom of the martini was a lil hershey chocolate. Very nice.

We got to bed about 2.30am absolutely shot! But had the most fun wonderful night and a real experience for us girls.

Today we headed back to Karens which is located in Audubon, PA, and unloaded the suitcases and then went out shopping for something to send home Nat and Robyns BJ chairs that they got with their tickets which they totally didn't expect. Soooo funny, here we are traipsing around with these chairs. We went to the Post Office and it was going to cost $700US dollars to post home, can you believe that, or $400 UPS. So a large suitbag has been bought and that will go home on the plane with them.

We have had a lovely dinner, great sight, 6 ladies around a table chatting very loudly and on laptops too trying to upload the hundreds and hundreds of photo's and me editing and changing the videos etc.

Okay, enough of me now, we are off to Philadelphia tomorrow for the night, going to Chicky Petes for dinner and hoping to get tickets to the Philly Baseball game. Hope to have wireless in the hotel, if so, will do a update. On Saturday we are off to Atlantic City, staying at the Borgata Hotel, yeah baby! Looking forward to that. A couple of Aussie girls are coming down to meet us there and then on Monday, we all are heading off up the NJ coast.

Nite all, will now go and try and upload some videos for you all before i crash for the night. The nights are getting longer and sleeping shorter. I have not had a good early night for a 6 nights now and have another two weeks to go, i can do it, i can!!!!

Sending hugs to my family!!!
